The US Professor Michael Rappa offers a very good overview on the future of the digital markets, enterprises from the economic point of view on his website:

There are many articles on online and future business models, background material, case studies and podcast of the whole studies.
All material is from between 2001 and 2005 but this is stilll up to date from the point of economic theory
Also his Amazon book recommendation is like a who is who in the digital world:

The list is also from 2005 so there a several new books but there are classic books on network effects and information technology which are still worth reading. New books often cite them and some of the newer ones are have only a new title but inside is old content – when I am thinking on all the books on what is “Web 2.0″
