Google and virtual worlds already this year?

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007 by Michael Altendorf

As I just saw in my feedreader metaversed found a blog entry that Google could be testing virtual worlds and social plattform at university of Arizona.

.. I just needed a source to quote in my diploma thesis that I believe that the big players also try to enter the 3D world market. And so a regulation of taxing virtual worlds could be more urgent than it seems to be.

read it at metaversed

explaination from wikipedia

Each line is drawn between two nodes, representing two IP addresses. The length of the lines are indicative of the delay between those two nodes. This graph represents less than 30% of the Class C networks reachable by the data collection program in early 2005. Lines are color-coded according to their corresponding RFC 1918 allocation as follows:

  • Green: com, org
  • Red: mil, gov, edu
  • Yellow: jp, cn, tw, au, de
  • Magenta: uk, it, pl, fr
  • White: unknown
